Impressions of a Pilot
Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;
To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;
To feel the joy that swells within;
To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;
Then back to earth at the end of a day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.
Released from the tensions which melted away.
Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;
Whether brightest day or darkest night;
Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;
For each of us is created to die,
And within me I know,
I was born to fly.
And within me I know,
I was born to fly.
— Gary Claud Stokor
Flying is one of the best feeling in the world. The cold breeze of air flowing through your face as you touch the cotton-like clouds and look down the busy world underneath. How wonderful would that
be to be able to fly and fly with other birds above the blue sky. I think birds are the most blessed for possessing this kind of feeling because I enjoy the feeling of being alone for once in a while. Like sitting down by myself looking at this trash, but this time was different because I'm accompanied by birds on trees. I hear these birds everyday I go outside switching from trees and trees with other birds. Unfortunately, I can't distinguish what kind of bird they are because I'm not an expert about birds. I will never get their names until I see them from eye to eye, or I'll just take a picture.
Since I'm a little, I adore the fact of flying. I pretend my cars to fly even though they don't have wings to be able to. It has been a child's dream to fly because of the movies by superheroes like Superman for example. I don't know why I like flying because I strongly hate being in high altitude, but I still want to. Because of my aspiration of flying, I've been dreaming to be a pilot and an astronaut. I always get fascinated when I see airplanes taking off and landing. I think the first flight in 1903 by the Wright brothers were one of the greatest event in human's history. It opened a lot opportunity for other innovators. In just a span of only 65 years we already had put a man on the moon. From the first flight by the Wright brothers to the first man to step on the moon by Neil Armstong. Think about the possibilities in 50 more years.
Because of the birds above the sky, we were able to construct the first airplane that led ways for more inventors. Like what Orville Wright said,

"The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who, in their grueling travels across trackless lands in prehistoric times, looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through space, at full speed, above all obstacles, on the infinite highway of the air."
